Kindle firmware update 5.13.4 - Page 3

Personally, I find the slab serfs in Bookerly to be a bit more attractive than the didone/modern serifs in Bookerly Display. Looking at the capital A, M, N, U, V, W, X and Y, I also dislike the difference in the slanted lines typical of a didone/modern serif typeface. I've attached an image of the capital X in both open in FontForge.

From your sample of the two Bookerly variations, we can dump the Bookerly Display font as it looks awful (IMHO).

I dumped it into my old Kindle and it's not the greatest looking. Those thin lines tend to fade from view.

Well after turning on my WiFi and doing a reboot and a couple syncs I have the series grouping working for my series that I have in my library. I don't think all of my series are there but most of them

Same for me.

When you open series, there is a Series Order sort as well as Date (publication date?).

I like it.

I turned it on, but it doesn’t seem to do what I would expect, given the name of the option (which is to say, it seems to have no effect).

Hi everyone!

been mostly reading here so far over the years.

I updated my 10th Gen Kindle and my 7th Gen Paperwhite just now to 5.13.4, basically for the Group Series sorting.

Both updated without any fuss, but the series option is definitely not there (looked as described under: In Settings -> Device Options -> Advanced Options -> Home & Library).

Did a couple of restarts with each device, but no, didn't turn up so far. Do I just have to wait? Does it maybe matter that I am in Germany/registered to amazon.de?

Sorry, if the question is dumb, I just thought I'd rather ask then keep fumbling with the devices.

I just updated mine manually.

The home feed content is the same without any extra, so perhaps it hasn't kicked in just yet. I know the update is active, but nothing different so far.

Who said about minor changes in this update?
The vulnerability on PW4 has been closed, jailbreak is not possible.

nope. still only has two entries (Home Screen View and Audible Content) ... I'll just wait a while then, I guess.
