Can you tell me what is this model?

I ask the seller to send me the video and I read in the config menu :About Aura One.

So this is the Aura one or the Aura h20??

It looks to be an Aura ONE. The settings screen is pretty conclusive, but, I suppose it wouldn't be that hard to patch it. It has a flush screen, and that would mean an Aura ONE.

The seller don't know what he have in hands.

The kobo is from his wife, have a lot of law books and he tells me that was used to her studies. I don't think he patched the device.

So... It's bigger than 6.8 and it's better than h2o? Or the same thing?

I like my flushed screen from ppw4.

Yep, flush screen that's 7.8" instead of a 6.8". Both are waterproof and both have the "warm" light (ComfortLight Pro). This was Kobo's top of the line reader until the Forma -- and some folks still think the Aura One is better than the Forma. Probably because the lighting is seems to be a bit more uniform. You got a heck of a deal on it.

You can say that again! Just how good was it that 7 people put a USED one on their ebay watchlist at THIS price? (USD, there's another listed at a mere $443)

Oh guys. What a lucky!

This device pop up yesterday on 'mercado livre' (like ebay), I saw it, and bought.

Price in my currency is R$250.00, cheaper than the basic Kindle.

Outside the US, Kobo has the best eBook experience. You can get eBooks from Overdrive and FB Digital. You can get eBooks from more stores then just Amazon. So I think overall, Kobo gives a better experience of where you can buy eBooks.

Koreader and what else?
KOReader is not a must have unless you want to read PDF. You don't actually need KOReader for ePub.

A must have (IMHO) are the patches. Alo, if your Kobo is not running the 4.20.14622 firmware, then you should update to that one as it's quite good.

I leave WiFi off because I don't use the browser and I don't sync from Kobo and I also want to have longer batter between charges.

The reason I don't sync from Kobo is that I prefer to read ePub but if I decide I want to read the eBook as KePub, I can do that very easily.

I've got the Kobo Aura Edition 2 (not sure which version I have, as these also have v.1 and v.2) and so far I've just let the automatic update take care of it.
But if you plan on patching, you will need to know which version H2O 2 you have.

Guys, I know have a lot of info here.. Just a quick question pls.

Any tweak to use the Wikipedia function like Kindle?

And it's possible to add my own dictionary file? (I have portuguese, English and translation).

It's possible to do the same?

Now that you have decided on kobo, you are better off asking such questions in the kobo forum:

True, this is because it is more probable that Your post about Kobo are read by somebody that knows the answer. But anyway:

Wikipedia works, may be You have to use a patch to have it in Your language. I think that otherwise it will be in English.

About dictionaries: Yes You can, there are portuguese, English and translation and, with some tricks , You can add all ditcionariesYou want, but I am not so expert in that because I only use a better Italian dictionary instead of the standard dictionary that is very poor. But portoguese dictionary should be better because it is not so thin as Italian dictionary.

** UPDATE**

Received yesterday and how we talked about it's a Kobo Aura One and it's in pristine conditions

So lucky. I really liked, in my first impressions, the screen size.

I did one test: I searched for a paperback book and how many pages it have, got the same on Kobo and set the font + size I like and the numbers of the pages is almost the same (more ou less 15 pages).

Almost the size of a real book. I liked the weight too, is not heavy.

Now I need to import a case from Aliexpress.
