Someday you'll need to upgrade. So my not do it and do it now? The viewer is not an issue. You just have to set it up how you want it and yes you can have the toolbar.

Skydog I have to say that I love everything about the newest version of Calibre except for the changes to the viewer. I have a tendency to highlight and copy large blocks of text in documents, which was easy to do in the old viwer. You simply inserted the pointer, right clicked, and held it until you reached the point at which you wanted to stop. The only way to do this with the new viewer is to right click and then scroll down using the mouse wheel or the down arrow. Either method takes two hands to do!

So I'll just keep on updating Calibre and then going back to the v3.48 viewer.

I'm in the same camp as you and felt your pain as I read through the thread. Perhaps I'll do the same when I'm in the mood to deal with it!
