I have about 800 ebooks in my collection (on a thumb drive and mirrored to cloud) but I never keep more than 5-10 books at one time on the device. With my reading speed, it would take me (optimistically) about 4 months to read 10 books. Storage space on an ereader was never a factor for me.

I think that's going to be a very short list. the only one that comes to mind is the somewhat iffy overdrive direct to device lending system, unless you also count asymmetric design as a " feature". The science of getting books onto a 6 or 7 inch e-ink screen has not really changed in the last 10 years |

i believe in more choice for (all) it appears you are happy with how things are which is good. personally just because my own subjective opinion/needs/wants are met doesn't mean that i want to deny/stop others from having a choice/option that suits their own requirements. imho more choice for (all) is better than less. best wishes koboy ![]() Last edited by koboy; 10-23-2019 at 02:58 AM. |

One thing you get without the SD card slot is IPX8 waterproofing.

The Original Aura H2O pop-on cover is pretty poor for life. I'll not trust the Libra waterproofing. A mad design, like 1940s WWII military gear tropicalization. |

features please guys.
useful new features please , for users not dumb enough to drop their reader in the toilet, or mad enough to want to read under waterfalls, that cannot be found in older models with SD cards So far all we have is (maybe) comfort light. Not sure when that was first introduced. is that it ? i don't see how the hardware just being " newer" is actually a feature. |

You might not find a use for a waterproof reader, but it is clearly useful for some people. I haven't used it often, but it was something than influenced my choice of reader. |

Just not rated for deep sea diving waterproofing levels I still say that for someone whose #1 must-have feature is "has SD card slot", then the answer is obvious - go to ebay and get a used one |

Nothing prevents a left handed reader using any of the touch only Kobos. It's the reintroduction of buttons that required this feature and even then it's exclusive to the buttons since if you are crazy enough to hold the Forma or Libra at the skinny end with your left hand you can still use touch to progress in the book.

Nope...don't care. Most people never even keep their ereaders long enough to either fill them up or read everything on it. 8gb hold more books than I will be able to read for the rest of my lifetime. (Don't do comics on ereaders) There is no reason to put as cards on these any longer. Just buy the Aura One limited edition. It has 32gb. Enough memory for books in your lifetime and beyond the grave.... |
