FYI - all this talk made me go and try Calibre with Apprentice's Alf's magic....it's SO easy to do these days. Now I'm reading my latest Kindle book via my favorite app. Super comfy on the eyes.

Calibre and Alf make reading ebooks SO much better. I like buying from Amazon, but prefer the Kobo and Nook hardware and software to the Kindle.

Eyestrain aside, I really enjoy the orange-shifted front light. It's reminiscent of the faded page of an old paperback. Nostalgic and technically current at the same time.

Everything new is old again.

With all this fretting over blue light, I wonder how many people have changed their television sets from the default garish torch mode to an accurate color mode, which has the side effect of reducing blue light as part of the primary effect of realistic color rendition.
