You mean save the entire epub? It already flushes all current changes in that codeview window to the disk. Just as it does with every "open-with" editor.
Automatic saving the entire epub before launching PageEdit is not going to happen as there may be many things you do not want saved. Even BookView did not do that. The user will have to do that themselves. Please note with the Inspector in PageEdit you can see the entire source tree of xhtml in case you do not like the generated code and decide to change it before saving and exiting back to Sigil. I can add an action to Save and Exit as one icon. Right now you can use the save and exit icons which is just 2 clicks. Last edited by KevinH; 07-26-2019 at 10:49 AM. Reason: added more info |

BTW - you could just hit the Quit/Exit icon on PageEdit and if the source has been modified, it will ask you if you want to save the file before exiting. So that is another simple way to get back to Sigil from PageEdit.

How do I open a page in Page Edit ?
Could some one guide me to how to open a page in new Page Edit app from Sigil ?
I cannot find any Open With feature in Sigil. Nothing in the help files. How does it work ? |

I do it this way.
Right click an xhtml in the book browser, viz. To put it the list, select "Other applications" and then browse to where you installed PageEdit, and select it e.g if you want a button to click, you can do it via Preferences too. BR |

And I'm fairly certain the Open With feature IS detailed in the latest user guide. I remember updating it from the single application per file-type to the current five apps per file-type.
