![]() Even in a professional context I avoid using MSWord. From my own experience with LaTeX, I have two phases when I write a text. One phase for which a visual mode is essential, it's when I check or modify the visual aspect of the text when I decide if I take for document style an 'article' or a 'book' or ..., or before send it or print it. The longer phase is when I write the text, no visualisation in required, when I type '\begin{itemize}...\end{itemize}' I'm not interested in the visual aspect, because I know how work 'itemize' and the result. In this phase, with LaTeX, I'm concentrated on the text, in its meaning, the idea to develop, not on the appearance. More seriously, some times, a visual aspect is important, like for a CV ![]() |

I don't remember if it works also when using it with HDMI input, I should check. If I move the computer mouse in HDMI input mode, unfortunately it is not easy to view the pointer. I am using a big mouse cursor enabling the options for disabilities, it helps a lot, but then I need to switch to small when I disconnect. Not the best solution. The best solution would be: never use the mouse, but only touch. E-INK is not fast enough for mouse cursor fast movements. I'll let you know if you can use the pen in HDMI input. |

Normally, HDMI does not transport input. But by having the Monitor app log the touch, and by having that script on your desktop translate it into mouse events, you get the touchscreen working even with HDMI. I think ballball may have meant the editing cursor, the "caret" (?). Anyway, for that you use a quick screen refresh icon or shortcut. If you move the mouse in Grayscale Update mode (as opposed to A2) you naturally leave a trail. |
