The package manager of Termux seems to be `pkg`: can it be used offline? (Same way as you could do a `dpkg -i myinstaller.deb`) |

Just installed Termux from the Play Store without an issue, ran "apt-get update" and "apt-get upgrade" without issue on my Max2.
Turned off WiFi, starts up OK without network connectivity Termux functionality seems a bit screwed up. Once you terminate the session the icon stays on the top row of the screen and can't seemingly be closed and if you reopen the app the session is still running until you type "exit" If you start the session and type "pwd" you get the path of "data/data/com.termux/files/home" if you type "ls -al" no sub directories. Run "mkdir test" runs OK but running "ls -al" again doesn't show the directory you created....BUT.... you can "cd" to it... Same strange result if you, from the "…/home" directory do a "cd .." then "pwd". You have changed directory but "ls -al" doesn't show the home directory.... |

@mdp termux works fine offline - but just like debian/ubuntu - you can't install new apts from the main repo offline
- but it works perfect (apart from that offline) - i use it on my chromebook for all dev work @everalm if you open vi (or similar) in termux on onyx whats the typing response like - any screenshots or video would be greatly appreciated - my main concern is coding in vim in termux and the repsoniveness |
