You might also try hiding the TV from now till then so she won't have to see those awful commercials.
Or you could surprise her and do Valentines on January 15 or 16th if her favorite restaurant is closed on Mondays.

Disclosure: we don't do Valentines day unless he finds me a new Garfield t-shirt.
