while I would agree with you about oprah in general but sometimes in the specific she can make a good recommendation. I remember a number of years ago she recommended Steinbeck's East of Eden which I personally think is one of the great books of the 20th century

Jon, I think this particular book might be more aimed at women anyway (and/or gay men).
I'm already reading it, out of curiosity and to better understand this problem. Seriously.

It is indeed aimed primarily toward women, as the author states in the introduction. However, I'm only on screen 45 of 404.

It's an interesting book so far. I never planned to read this and didn't even know about this book. Although targeted primarily toward women, I think the book can be useful to any person who wants to better understand why this occurs in our society.

I have never cheated and I never will cheat. I've had thoughts of cheating when things were bad with an ex-GF. But I didn't and I'm glad I didn't.

I have started to read The Surgeon and so far it is quite good. It's a medical Mystery that seems to be well written.

Just before I downloaded it from Sony, I checked out some reader reviews from Amazon, which seem to be very favorable. I'm looking forward to reading it...after I finish the current 3 ebooks I'm reading.

I also agree that the book (The Surgeon) is quite good. I already finished it and purchased the next one in the series from fictionwise. The publisher's promotion plan seems to work

Not sure if this is explained elsewere but... I bought a PRS-505 from Waterstones in the UK and the eBook Library software doesn't have a link to the US store, just a hyperlink that takes you to the Waterstones store.

How can I download from the Sony online eBook store as a UK customer?

Thanks in advance,
Terry.

Ginger Tez - I did this by removing the software that came with the device & downloading the version from the Sony store instead, so the ebook store link goes there instead of Waterstones. I managed to make purchases fine, using a gift voucher that Leaping Gnome very kindly purchased for me.

Must admit I haven't since tried downloading anything from Waterstones. The one time I tried to buy anything with the points from buying the reader, there was a problem with their site so I couldn't proceed. I think I should be able to access any Waterstones purchases via ADE, but even if there is a problem with that, I'd far rather have access to the Sony store.
