I hadn't updated yet in the one above. I had in the one below. Sorry if you didn't understand that. I'm dyslexic so my words get jumbled when I'm in a hurry sometimes. Tested means updated yet. The firmware had been released but I hadn't updated yet. The one below the update came through but I hadn't patched yet. We are second shift people so tomorrow doesn't mean tomorrow for us like most people. It means later in a span of a few hours. Dropbox stopped working on the 4.4.9.344 firmware. After I patched I tried to get books and I couldn't. After I posted I couldn't to you a few weeks ago then someone PMed me a work around but that no longer works in 4.5. The only thing I have found to work is Gmail by sending an email with attachments to yourself.
Someone PM that Dropbox still works on 4.3 firmware and they downgraded. As an Editor of this forum I get alot PMs so while something may not make sense to you it could because I was told something in private. The bottom line is 4.5 broke Dropbox completely work around and all. Gmail or downgrading is the only work around I have found or heard of. I hope that clears it up for you and we can move past this. I noticed the same problem after upgrading to 4.5.9587 (not being able to download epub files). I use a COPS-server (https://github.com/seblucas/cops) as a source for my epubs.
Unfortunately I don't know my last known good version. |

But, lets ignore that post. You posted in response to a post by me how about good it was that a bug had been fixed in 4.4.x firmware. A bug that had affected you. A few days later you came back and stated that downloading from Dropbox worked. Please, PLEASE, tell me, how could anyone possibly think you were not talking about the 4.4.x firmware? Go back and read the thread. Put yourself in someone else's shoes and interpret your posts. Really try and think through the order of posts in this thread and then tell me how it can be interpreted any other way. And then think about why it pisses me of that people are too lazy to make clear statements about what they are talking about. If you had simply included the firmware version number in you posts, there would be NONE of this crap going on. Quote:
I to get a lot of PMs and this demonstrates why they aren't always a good idea. If those PMs had been made in response to posts here, others would have seen them and been able to use that information. Quote:
