I convert all by books to Kepubs in Calibre, I find the KA1 far more responsive. Not tried Epubs on the latest firmware though.

Question Power Off Default Screen on my Aura!
How to change the cover, which launches itself when Aura goes to sleep.

The Aura, which I use now comes with some 'fnac' as the cover. Is there anyway I can change this to show the last article/book cover?

Please advise.

Also, my Aura says it is on software version : 3.19.5761

Is this the latest and greatest version? If NOT, could you please advise how to upgrade the same?

I've bought every Kobo since the initial Glo, and every new Kobo was better than the one before EXCEPT for the Aura 6", so no, I won't buy a spare One because I hope there will be a better kobo in the future - on my wish list for hardware are IR and quicker navigation (10" to 20" calling collections is ridiculous). I'm not holding my breath for better dictionaries though that would be awesome.

Also I do have spares: the Glo HD and the H2O. I did have to use the hated Aura 6" for a month when my Aura HD gave up the ghost and I was waiting for the H2O to arrive in France.

Funny how everybody is different, I love the Aura and it's still my main reader.

You know what! The 'FNAC' as the screen saver came back.
Does it reinstall after a sync for updates?

When I see inside the .kobo folder, I see 2 .conf files. One by the affiliate and another of kobo. So even after renaming the affiliate file it is making a comeback.

How do I permanently remove it from my Aura? Please advise.

I was a happy aura one owner until this morning when it spontaneously died. Accent frozen although lights work. Loved the night mode. Back to h2o.

You need to follow the instructions in the post. Don't delete/rename the file, edit the file and change the contents.

Regularly people do tend to only reply or create threads whenever something is not of their liking. With that out of the way i have to say this and I'll maintain what I said on other thread: despite the fact that I'm on a second device as the natural light on the first one was really off, and also the fact that the auto brightness is really bonkers it is a really good device. It's size is as big as a regular book, which should exist in ebooks from the beginning. Never had issues with battery drain or anything else for that matter. The natural light is a great add-on and it's light weight. So yes I'm really happy with it. Why shouldn't I be? Above all it's an ebook it's not meant to do anything else than "read" books.
