Further to my last remark, I do NOT like iOS10. I don't know if Apple is still signing 9.3.5 but I am going to see about downgrading my idevices.

Please elaborate on the specifics of why you don't like iOS 10 as that might be beneficial for those of us on the fence who have not yet installed. I have read the lists of new features, none of which scream out to me as must have features, but it is the little gotchas with every new OS upgrade that we seldom know about until it is too late.

How much of a choice will there even be to upgrade or not? My iDevices haven't started nagging me yet, but Apple has been getting more aggressive with the update pop-up boxes, making it almost impossible to ignore.
I will likely update eventually, but I want it to be when I choose, not because Apple is nagging me to frustration. |

I agree, though, in wanting to know the complaints against iOS 10. Please!

The iOS upgrade notification will come because it is Apple's policy to push for a very high adoption rate of its latest operating system (compared with the fragmented Android world). In Apple's mind, the chain of logic of this business strategy eventually leads to more hardware (iPhone, iPad, etc.) sales and profit. In striking the balance of being an adventurer and a pragmatist, I usually upgrade one of my multiple iOS devices first, and do the rest later if necessary. In case I buy a new device which comes with iOS 10 anyway, I'll consider it as the "upgraded" one. |

Well at least Apple doesn't force the upgrades on us for iOS or macOS (as it is now called). Both of my Windows 10 PCs were just defiled by Microsoft with it's latest "Anniversary" edition being forced on them. Hey MS, NO means NO you a$$h#$%s. I tried every way in the world to prevent it, but couldn't find one other than disconnecting them from the internet, which was really not a viable option. It also gripes the bleep out of me that MS will update drivers even when you tell it not too. The only reason I keep PCs around is for the few apps that are still not available on macOS, mostly programming apps for my radios. Everytime those jerks install new drivers I have to spend at least an hour trying to override them so that Windows 10 can communicate with my older ham radios.

Things I dont like about iOS10.
On my 5S: If plugged into power, home screen doesn't respond to taps. As for 6S below. On my 6S: Dislike the new notifications, dislike the new way of opening the device. Absolutely HATE the new Health app, which previously had all its graphs available at a glance. Photos has some changes as well but I have not fully investigated those. On my iPad Air2: As for 6S minus health. Some websites broke, in that the pages were cut off at about 25% from the right, and not possible to scroll. Other sites also appeared cut off, but were at least scrollable. There's probably more, but remember these are the things *I* don't like. YMMV. Also remember that downgrading may not be an option later if you wait too long to find out whether you will have things you dislike enough to want to downgrade. Apple will stop signing 9.3.5 soon enough. |

My uncle starting getting nags last week, a couple days after iOS 10 was released. I was shocked. However, my iDevices haven't made a peep about 10 yet, and I'm hoping it will stay that way for a while longer.

I'm still on the wall as far as macOS Sierra too. It doesn't have much of interest in it for me. I never use Siri even on my iPhone, so I certainly won't use it on my MacBook Pro. And I never use the Apple photo junk. I prefer Lightroom and Photoshop and other professional grade photo processing apps. They almost headed in the right direction a few years back with Aperture, but then they cancelled it and gave us that terrible downgrade to Photos. |

Between us we have two iPhones, two iPads and a MacBook Pro, none of them have even hinted at upgrading yet and I'm not going to tempt fate by taking a look. I won't even upgrade iTunes yet as that seems to have a few bugs too. It's all on hold until I retire in December, I might even hold off until January if I hold my nerve.

@FlorenceArt: Apple has given them each a little rounded corner box of its own, but its not just that... Hard to define. Maybe I have become too conservative in my old age and want things to stay the same. Relatively speaking. I'd suggest doin a lot of reading of reviews etc before making up your mind one way or the other. I didnt.
I've decided to leave my 6S on iOS10, its not as annoying on that as it was on the 5S and Air2. Newer hardware? I dont know. Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind in the next day or so. |

I don't like the new way notifications are displayed, and the new sound when I put my phone to sleep, and the new widget screen. Apple needs to learn that if it's not broken, do not frigging change how it looks.
