I've found that all the cases I've used on my various Readers have made them easier to hold. If that's not the case, then you need a new case.

Maybe. But, the point was that some of the ereaders have actually been designed so they are easy to hold. If the ereader is designed properly, creating a cover that improves on the bare device is hard. In the case of the Touch, none of the covers I've used on any of my devices would improve on he bare device.

And don't forget, for anyone with small hands, weak hands or any other sort of grip problems, a cover is adding bulk and weight. This might make it harder for them to hold the device and that might outweigh any protection that the cover supplies.

Although I'd always advise the use of a cover for carrying ereaders (I mainly only use a sleeve and am just careful how I pack it), I don't ever have my ereader in a cover. I have small hands and I don't like the added bulk, even from the slimline cases. If anything, I'll use a silicone skin to give a better grip or more comfortable feel in my hand.

Even the two mini ereaders I have, while the Sony 350 slots neatly into its small, slim fitting case and is fine to keep in the case all the time for reading, the Kobo Mini case feels like its making the Mini twice as thick as it is, so it only ever gets used minus the cover.

Got my kobo glo hd. Didnt expected screen to be so appealing to eyes. Looks like paper! Turned off frontlight and its even better. Page turning speed is very good. Device only takes some time before opening larger files (~8mb +). Opened one of my pdf and actually it handles very nice. I can see everything and read from it. So far Im very happy with my purchase.

I set it to power off after 1 hour after not using it. Is this healthy to device?

I don't read PDFs on my Kobo devices except for testing and the bus and train timetables. I've found that PDF display is very good. But, performance with larger more complex documents can be bad. And the navigation, if you need to zoom, is terrible.

No, it just means that you will be waiting a while when you want to read if you left it for a while. I have mine sleep after 15 minutes and never power off. I plug in enough that I have no problems with battery life, an it is always ready to read.

I just put mine to sleep unless I am not going to be using it for more than a month.

You can turn it completely off but why. They are designed to just sleep.

I can't think of a reason that it would be a problem.
