Okay, so it is not just a small extension to the storefront, but a full-fledged OverDrive interface? That was what I would have expected them to do, but MGlitch's statement: "go to shop, search for a book, and if it's available to loan from your library you get that option" made me unsure.

Perhaps a competition with other sites which should remain nameless for misinformation bites of the week?

Most likely, badereader is the usual source of such misinformation...

I was given to understand that was because it actually involved using the builtin web browser and going to the OverDrive website. I do that on my Kindle all the time, and checkout OverDrive books through Amazon's library loan redemption links. Then I exit to the homescreen and sync my new book.

The nice thing about the Sony (more than other EPUB ereaders) was supposed to be that if you downloaded ACSM license files, the Sony would understand them just like ADE, and download the ebook from OverDrive's ACS.

I'm going to buy Aura One and I'm not going to bother with a case as I read exclusively at home. My PW2 with a case (habit is the only reason I've left it on) weighs 312 grams, so the Aura One is a featherweight for me. I read one handed, mirrored L two finger style. Wish it was on sale tomorrow.

I was going off what was actually in a video, I've yet to read or see much detailed information about how Overdrive will work on the Kobo One. Even Kobo's videos only seem to mention it as a feature and leave it at that, while they go into some depth about the RGB lighting.

Hopefully Kobo rolls out the new firmware soon and OD support is given to all devices. Though I suppose we'll know on or shortly after Sept. 6th when the Kobo One starts shipping out.

I have an Aura One. The four attached photos are the info pages which talk about OverDrive integration.

I have yet to borrow an ebook, however.

BTW, the product listing on Kobo.com for the Kobo Glo HD already mentions Overdrive integration. So I'd bet the other devices are getting it soon.

I logged out of the test account which came with the Aura One because I couldn't find any ebooks to borrow.

It won't let me log in with my OD account.

Perhaps because the device isn't meant to be fully live yet?

Seems a shame that they wouldn't enable that feature already since essentially it shouldn't be any different than the devices doing it already.

Any idea how much bigger the Aura One is compared to the H2O? I love my H2O but an even bigger screen seems nicer, if the overall size doesn't increase that much.

Thanks for the side by side shots of the H2O vs the Aura One. Seems that the 7.8 device really does deliver quite a decent amount of screen space. Makes it a lot more tempting.

Thanks for the side by side, looks better to me. However looking over it I am curious of the quality and durability of the device. My H20 is almost a tank, been dropped quite a few times in a cheap case without problems, looking at the Aura One's case and screen it looks more fragile?

I think a lot of people here would assume that if GoodEreader said something like this, then the opposite was true

I think in all honestly this is a second generation Kobo Glo HD and not a true spiritual successor to the Aura 1.

With the overall specs, it's seems to be more a "Glo Edition 2" than a successor to either the Aura or Glo HD.
