Doesn't the battery 'betrays' you when you're stuck somewhere, e.g in a waiting line or at the doctor's? Can anyone read for more than a couple of hours on their phone?

I don't read on my phone much - just when caught short without my Kobo - but I have a charger that runs off my wheelchair battery, so I pretty much never run out of charge.

A: "Get a battery powered wheelchair." Don't think that's an option for the majority of people here ![]() (or you can see it this way: every disadvantage has an advantage!) |

I do not use it as a phone, it doesn't have a SIM card installed. It works as a backup e-book reader, camera, small Android tablet, viewer of CAD and tiff drawings when in building site ... I haven't measured reading hours, but it is much more than a couple of hours. |

I have read for hours on my Note 2 and the battery does just fine since it is in airplane mode. 99% of the time. I will make my call and put it right back into airplane mode.

Okay thanks for the response guys! I was going by the battery of my Kindle Fire, which depletes quickly enough. I feel squirmy whenever any e-reader of mine is low on power. Hence the question.

Except that short bit about popslate and it's very limited use e-ink. 2 screens heavier. Possibility of breaking one real easy. Must have a cover for the one not in use. Besides are there even enough people that want one to even justify the research and development costs? Maybe someone should start a crowdfund to see if there is enough interest. I mean one would only need to raise about $75,000 to maybe get it off the ground. |

I found a definitive solution considering the samsung note 7 did not come in the end: a samsung galaxy tab s2(8.0 inches)+yotaphone 2 double lcd eink+ power bank for tablet. hi hi 660 grams and less than 650 eur
