No. I was one of the lucky ones. Mine has no color blobs. It was the lighting and lack of contrast. It gave me eye strain. I switched to a Nexus 7 after that but decided to give eInk another try with the Glo HD and it was nearly everything I wanted my Kindle to be. The 300ppi really helped.

I have the fullscreen cover of my current book as my sleep screen, so I don't see it. The logo only shows up when rebooting, which I do only rarely.
