It's the default font already used in the Kindle's menu text. Here.

I do like the Ember font. First thought that came to mind when I saw as the default UI font that came with the FW update was that it's somewhat similar to the one I've been using for years (thanks to the jailbreak and the excellent fonts hack

) called 'Aller'. For anyone thinking of using it, the 'light' version renders way too thin on the Kindle.

it may just be a side-effect of doing an update but I can now sync new content from Amazon to my PW2 on firmware 5.7.4 where I could not do so on 5.7.3.

Have a closer look at the lower case A and S letters in the attached Kindle GUI screenshot and you'll notice that they're definitely not formatted in Helevetica Neue LT.

I have a jailbroken PW3 now with 5.7.2.1. I noticed some days ago with Koreader that I can now use the Amazon Ember font. I have no Font Hack. How it came here, I can't tell...

I don't like the three dots at the corner of each collection or book, I rather just long press than accidentally opening the menu when I want to open a collection. >.<
It would be nice if they added a gesture to change the light settings, I found out I can do that with a two finger swipe in koreader and it's really useful.

I just got a used Kindle Voyage that came with 5.7.4 and from what I've read there's no jailbreak for it?

Is it possible to install an older firmware, jailbreak, and then update again to 5.7.4? Or not advisable?

There's no jb for it, and sorry you cannot downgrade to an older version.

If you are handy, you can try doing it through the serial port. Look in the dev sub forum.

my PW2 automatically upgraded from 5.6.5 to 5.7.4 when I connect to wifi.I regret that I did it. In 12 hours downtime PW2 discharged by 3 percent, it's very much.
I really want to downgrade to 5.6.5, but can't do it.

There's no reason that 5.7.4 should use power any more quickly than 5.6.5. Are you sure that it wasn't indexing books at the time?
