A slight improvement: To center the window on the screen you could add the following after root.geometry("640x480"):

root.geometry("640x480")

#Add this to centre the window on the screen
w = 640
h = 480
x = root.winfo_screenwidth() // 2 - w // 2
y = root.winfo_screenheight() // 2 - h // 2
root.geometry('%dx%d+%d+%d' % (w, h, x, y))

Bugfix: position of svg wrapper html file is now correct when inserting a picture from disc
Improvement: window centered on screen

Thanks for this plugin - all my cover images can now be set up properly in my ePubs.

If you want to set up images properly in the past you might be interest in the AdjustSVG Plugin

That user was banned from Mobileread and his plugins are no longer available. That was about 5 years ago. There is a plugin with similar functionality listed in the Plugin index. That is where links to plugins can be found.
