It makes it a lot easier to configure the new patches based on your preferred settings in the previous patches.

I forgot to add I got a nice case for my Kobo. It was only $10.99 on Amazon. It protects really well and somehow it stays tightly closed.

I got Navy Blue which to me looks charcoal. I wanted black but they didn't have it. I use black cases on all my tablets and eReaders.

I just went from Classic Glo to Glo HD, and one thing puzzles me...I can't figure out how to turn the light off. I only use the light when I'm in a dim room, and when I'm not reading I just put the book down so I don't have to do anything to start reading again. But the light button is gone, and there doesn't seem to be a control to turn it on or off in the menus...just the brightness.

Am I missing something, or do they really not want me to use it the way I want to use it?

I read with the light off. You can do it two ways. In a book swipe downward on the left side of the screen till off. You can also tap the brightness icon on the top menu and adjust It there.

Although I usually like dark navy blue cases on all my readers, I've had case envy ever since Josieb1 posted a link to eBay UK for a very nice looking butterfly case in this thread (9th post down). This thread made me start looking again for it and I finally found the same cover at Amazon US and just ordered it.

I got a Kobo Glo HD for Christmas! It's sooooo much better than the Aura was. Ahhhh...now to find a case. Anyone use the official one and how is it??

I have the official case, and loved it. Unfortunately, my Glo HD took a tumble and broke the screen, so I'm back to using my Glo.

I highly recommend the one I bought for just $10.99 on Amazon. It comes in 3 different styles. Purple, Navy Blue or Map pattern. Very well made and very lightweight but protects well.

Aww yeah the exchange rate isn't worth it if your in Canada. I got a great deal on my HD Glo because I'm in the USA and ordered from Canada.

Do you guys still recommend calibrating the battery before using it for the first time? If so, what's the best way to do it? Mine's arriving soon and I forgot how to properly calibrate it at first use.
