I am glad to see that GR is finally making changes that everyone has been asking for. /sarcasm |

I am very very picky at how my display works so I can read it easy. The image posted is pretty close to how it looked on my netbook (W10). I have yet to check the site out on my desktop as it needs to be put together first having needed a part. I took a screenshot of what a page looked with the update and then again when I applied the stylish extension to it. I'll need a bit to find the screenshot and get it into a shape to post it here. I expect a bit of differences on how sites look on different computers and different browsers, but not as much as goodreads new look. They should still all be readable at the very least. | |

I don't like the new fonts, text is smaller and hard to read while images are bigger now, which makes a weird contrast.

I didn't even notice the font and colors change, but there seems to be some (welcome) changes to the under-workings as well. When changing a book's status to read the pop-up box is much smaller and items have moved saving me from scrolling to get to the date read box.

At first the font size hadn't changed, just the text became fuzzy, but a few days ago the font size was enlarged, now it's too big for my taste (I liked the original size). I wish all web sites that are primarily text would use the same size - I don't care what size, just pick one as a standard! and then I could set my browser accordingly and not have to keep changing the font size when I switch from one web site to another. |

The fonts are still the same ugly small size they were when the change took place/

I am running now 3 different extensions and it makes things much easier. Not all is well, but what can I do. I am just glad someone made those extensions.

No issues for me using Chrome on Vista, Windows 7, Mint 17.1, and Android Marshmallow. Wouldn't really know there was a fuss if not for this thread.

I preferred the old look but don't feel strongly about the new one. In contrast, lots of participants in Goodreads' Feedback Discussion > Announcements > Visual design change have posted vehement negative reactions. OT: Does it make me a meanie to chuckle at the wording of some of those posts? (FYI, I feel for those who wrote them, but the way they expressed themselves... well... ) I'm sure GoodReads got the message, but doubtful the complaints'll make much difference with regard to the redesigned site's palette, layout, and features. GRs does seem keen, though, to learn about and respond to reports of "any bugs, inconsistencies, or broken layout issues", as well as "difficulty with contrast or readability on the site".
