Dell's answer to the Surface Pro 4 splits the difference between the SP4 and the SurfaceBook:
http://www.zdnet.com/article/move-ov...tag=TRE17cfd61 (The non-adjustable viewing angle is a minus so it's more of a tablet than a laptop but more "lap-able" than the SP4.) |

The other big minus to me is that it doesn't appear there is any easy way to fold the keyboard closed to carry it around. That's one of the things I like about my S3 is that the keyboard folds up over the screen and is solidly attached with the magnets.

Can you be a little more specific about what you like about it in particular?

the feel of it for one. very dense but lighter than i expected. the keyboard is very nice to type on. the tablet portion itself is super light. thats expected knowing where most of the battery is but still amazing to think there is a fully functioning core i intel processor in something that light with display that large.
the display is crisp and clear and everything is easy to read even on that high dpi without resizing(ymmv) the hinge works very well at keeping the device from feeling tippy from the weight of the display and it also felt good holding it to carry around two little nits- the rubber strip on the bottom to keep it from sliding around on tables/desks doesnt work as much as i'd prefer. the second is that the base is so thin where the usb ports are that larger usb sticks will have trouble fitting. i had one with a bulky rotating cover and in order to connect it i had to prop the Book up on something. to use that one regulary id have to bring a short cable for connecting |
