Actually, no there isnt. Once you send a document to the Amazon cloud, you should be able to download it on your Kindle and the Android app.
Ir you do it via the app, make sure the "store in cloud" box is ticked. If you send via email, it does this automatically (you can review what's up there via "My content & devices" on the Amazon page). The service has a few hickups now and the (like once or twice a year)...
And then of course, Whispersync needs to be enabled, so that any books sync at all...

I can download the books from the cloud just fine, and the reading location syncs just fine, but I can't get the notes and highlights to sync. Are you able to sync notes and highlights on personal docs?

I am and it's just like that. I'm sorry but there's really nothing I could tell you other than to contact Amazon about that. Maybe try and disable and re-enable Whispersync and make sure that your books actually show up under "my content and devices"...

Sorry I can't be of more help...
You don't understand. My books DO show up under "my content and devices" and I AM ABLE to download them from the cloud. I don't have a problem with that, and I never have had a problem with that. Can you show me where I said I DID have a problem DOWNLOADING MY BOOKS FROM THE CLOUD?

No need to freak out...
If your Personal Documents do show up and sync progress, they should also sync annotations and highlights (on Kindle, iPad and Android app). Mine do and a considerable amount of other users' do as well! (in fact, it is or was advertised on the Kindle HP)
Have you tried shouting at the Amazon CS because your annotations do not sync?

Hi all,
in case anyone is still following this thread: Can people confirm that Personal Documents is still not supported in Kindle for PC?
If so, has anyone discovered another solution to the problem of syncing annotations across (non-Android) devices in the meantime?

Still not supported but I am much more relaxed about it now than I was then
Started doing most of my reading on an iPad Mini I got for cheap and use iBooks for all of my personal documents needs... Rarely buy from Amazon nowadays
