Thanks davidfor and Sonist. I appreciate the information--and I didn't know about holding down the light button while turning on the reader would initiate a factory reset. That's good to know. (Luckily, so far I haven't had to do a complete factory reset!)

Somewhere along at 3.11 I stopped updating the firmware, since I prefer coolreader for reading anyway. It has all I need for reading. When it dies I will probably replace it with the H2O.
How did you get CoolReader on it? I used that one as my main reading app on the Pocketbooks i had.

I may be the only dissatisfied owner here. I read a lot of PDFs and the Aura HD is terrible at that. Even the alternate readers were inadequate. I'm using a Boox T68 note and am very happy.

I will admit I am computer geek I have the H20, HD and aura. Do I like my HD? Yes, far better then the Aura. In the beginning when I jumped from bookeen I had delusions of updating 1 memory card and keeping the HD and Aura firmware the same and swapping the memory card. I have since been cured of that delusion. My Aura has never been the purse device I had hoped (too dark for me. I love the HD, I do admit I have the H2O and it is brighter and that is my biggest frustration. With most e-ink devices.
