Will the Voyage firmware be updated to support the new "Bookerly" font? - Page 3

Then all I can say you are the weird one. I do love to looks of the tablet screens but only for email and web sites. I can not read on one for more than maybe an hour before my eyes and my head is hurting. And I can read on my PW2 all day long. Also once I am really reading I do not even see the screen just the words.

I added Bookerly to KoReader & liked it quite a bit ... until someone (here, I believe) recommended Bitter. Much (much) better. google bitter.ttf. If you don't have KoReader, Amazon prevents you from adding the font itself but you can add it to each book with Calibre.

I've seen both Bookerly and Caecilia. Bookerly is a better font to read with (IMHO).

The problem (as I see it) is that Amazon advertised the new typesetting for the PW3 and still has not delivered. Their statement that the typesetting is coming soon was buried deep in the advertising and is very easy to miss. I blame this botch job on Amazon. They have a firmware with the typesetting. Call it a beta and release it and let the users give it a go if they want.

It's described as "Coming Soon" in bold text at the start of the description of the feature. I honestly don't see how this can be described as "being buried"; you can't see the description of the feature without seeing "Coming Soon".

It'll be released when it's ready, I'm sure. Amazon aren't like Kobo, who routinely release buggy firmware.

I saw a Paperwhite 3 for the first time today and whilst the screen was nice it wasnt a knockout and I'm not impressed with Bookerly I'll stick with Helvictia. I've never had any issues with the typesetting so i'm in no hurry for the update.
