I don't think it's a geographical restriction as I've tried to access using VPN from several countries.
It's possibly a restriction of IMDb. Can't hotlink unless signed-in to IMDb or a IMDbPro user?

You have to type the address in (or give the link a right button press and "copy the link location") in order to see it. If you just click the link you get denied. I assume they're trying to control traffic for some reason.
