Do those trousers have pockets? That's what I want to know. The pants I have on today are nice enough for the unbearably hot and sticky weather we're having, but no pockets!

Nothing against peach ice cream at all, but if fresh peaches are not yet available (as in the northern climes in which I live), ginger ice cream is also good.

Or nearly anything with "mocha" in the name, of course.

pockets are key. i've found that a good way to circumvent the annoyance of pocket-free pants (as are so many of the stylie ones, alas), is to make sure your jacket has plenty of them. my favorite of the pockets on my jacket is the tiny one on the sleeve, with a button flap. it's just big enough for a lighter. or a métro ticket. or a love letter.

I bought myself a really nice mesh vented camera gear vest. That is really cool (I mean literally .... cool), and it has loads of pockets. I can carry my phone, my Kindle, my keys, my wallet, my iPod ... all sorts of stuff.

Love love LOVE my camera gear vest.

A jacket would be unbearably hot in the weather I'm experiencing right now.

A mesh photo gear vest with pockets would be perfect, but my beloved husband has prohibited me from owning such a garment because of how I tend to load up the pockets of everything I own.

(But now that I think of it, it's been at least 20 years since he said anything about that.... Hm....)

As Arbiter of Reality, let me state, categorically, and throughout every last nook and cranny of the Prime Zero Moment that is the one moment of Reality: you are wrong.

There are parties (plural). Take this as a given tenet of Partyology within the conceptual possibility of your chronologically-constrained mind. Disagreement or alternate theorising merely makes you look petulant.

You don't want to look petulant, do you, Geoff?

Quote:
in your insistence on dividing and multiplying by zero. There is an infinite number of zeros in the Universe and even more beyond that. But is zero a 'prime' number - yeh, nay..
Zero is the prime number and the Prime Moment. There are Parties. The utter absence of relevant content to your theorising, the nullity of it, may explain why when you divide it all up you get your "divide by zero" error.

Your brilliant rhetoric, like most at parties, will , I'm sure, draw a riveted (sometimes literally: see Taylor and Nate) and fascinated audience at its existentialist post-modernistic, high-fallutin'ly, entertaininngly, humorous irrelevance, but its distraction from the procurement and preparation for the next party is doing very little to enable perfection of my placement of yourself at Yvan's Infinite Table. You're definitely looking at a Taylor-Adrian split, with a possible facement of Nate. I would suggest that your lack of simian robustness or automatonic exoskeletal impermeability would require a somewhat dangerous tipple of Zany Carters for a soft and squishy homo sapiens to obtain safe levels of Future Memory Resistance. What with the recent icecream requests, the Mind through which displaced attendance occurs could reach an error threshold (still at acceptable levels) that may even have that whole Oortwhale/Irukandji event a definite possibility for yourself.

Quote:
Trouser-leg mathematics is so last/next/this year in its application to non-number party theory of the alternative reality which this Lounge and the party exists.
Oh, sweety, sweety, sweety. Although a distraction, my tolerance for your theorising has remained within acceptable bounds of choler due to its entertaining nature. It's like watching a relatively smart child try to perform brain surgery on a Neutron Star Sentience without any implements or prior knowledge of cosmology. I can admire and enjoy the intellectual development, though the potential for inadvertent self-harm in the attempt requires a reallocation of my concentration to ensure your safety that I find it difficult to lend at the moment.

However, to presume to impinge any kind of perjorative judgement against my mastery of the Structure of Fashion Dynamics as they relate to and form Reality is to place a step ever closer to the brink and trip into the ravenous hunger of the exo-Universal Betwixtworld, a dark place completely unsuited to meatbags (Cthulhu has a cottage there, by the Silly String Sea).

The day that I allow a temporal carbon-base like yourself to critique my intrinsic and fundamental sense of Fashion Dynamics will be the day that I open the Betwixtworld up to satiate its hunger on Reality.

Consider this a friendly...suggestion. There are far far worse things than winding up in the belly of an Oortwhale trying to keep ones head above the excruciating anger of a swarming school of angry Dark Matter Irukandji. One would naturally hope your presumptuous and unfair effrontery does not set you a course down a trouser-leg into those blacker-than-black consequences of ultimate undesire.

Quote:
What, then, of the skirt (or even the kilt Scot/Maori)...stick that in your gibbon-theory and swing yourself across the rafters holding together the planetary web... Ice Cream comes at a premium and, in anycase, it does not travel well between dimensions to or fro from/to this multi-party that is really the same party...
"Gibbon-theory"? You did notice that, unlike yourself, I do not hold "theories", but arbite realities, didn't you? That's no "theory" in the rafters, but an actual, real-life, gibbon (somewhat embellished and uplifted physically and mentally through his travels through innumerable Reality Distortion Fields and Mind). His invisibility has no concurrence with the inertial swing of his inadvertent violence, and he has a particularly strong bugbear about being referred to as "a theory".

"Planetary web"...ahh, well, perhaps this "planetary" focus explains things. Within the relative nanoscule scale of "planets", the scope of your "theorising" is probably most brilliant. I'm sure you'll be most entertaining at the Party.

Quote:
btw, I've sold 83.5 tickets to it, so far, this party that is, not the next or the previous. shall we offer a prize in a raffle...
Hmm, a scalper at an invite-only party. I am not displeased; it adds to your charm (matters above notwithstanding). There will be a meat-raffle, of course. I have yet to determine what I mean by "meat-raffle", and I am currently in consultation with Cthulhu and PETA.

I hope this has cleared things up, Geoff.

Remember, and I brook no further argument:

- there are Parties
- your theorising is entertaining, though incorrect
- I am Arbiter of Reality - everything is whatever I say it is
- don't question my Fashion Dynamics Sense....ever!
- bring a friend

Cheers,
Marc

Hmmm...entertaining...and quite close to a specialist field theory of multiversal socialisation (also called "Cricket Field Theory). Save it for the Party, DixieGal; I have friends in such a field from "other words than these" who will definitely be enjoying your company (they may even show you their "secret handshake"; I believe part of the "secret" is that the "shake" does not involve a "hand", but apart from that it's all hush-hush to me).

Neko, my friend, I am working on my most simple and exclusive dish on the menu. A modestly perfected batch of simple, "normal" ginger icecream...for you. It's not quite perfected yet, but it's getting there. There will only be enough for a large bowl for yourself, and a small scoop for Queen Zee (sorry, Zee, but you really need to leave room for the pastries. I've heard they're exquisite this time to the point of hallucinogenic ecstasy).

Anyway, must get back to preparations...the shipping container of Messianic Nebulasheep dendrites have just arrived at the pantry loading dock, and I must get to them before Adrian tries to start another food fight with the truckster space cowboys....

Cheers,
Marc

And don't get me started on pie eating contests.
