I just Googled the date and found this. I know I've seen default dates of Jan 1 1970 in Android before which is basically the same date.

This occurs when data that should be a UNIX timestamp is instead either empty or contains a value of zero. UNIX timestamps are integers that count the number of seconds since midnight on 12-31-1969.

The Hook Up by Callihan. That was one I had on both devices when I updated to the new version and where I initially still only got 2 fonts. After unistalling and reinstalling, I couldn't initially open that book anymore on my Nexus. But it worked an hour later and I had 6 fonts. So far all the books have 6 fonts, even the few I tested initially before the uninstall/reinstall.

Try going out of the book first, closing the app and starting it again. Or reboot the Nexus. All books should have the 6 font option with 3.10

Nope. Here's a screenshot from my Kindle hdx. I tried installing here because the Nexus was on 3.6.2 before I updated and I never installed on the Kindle. I still haven't even signed up for a trial because the huge margins and double spacing and other display options were too poor for me to use.

The app looks so much better now, I might read more in it.

The book I had no fonts with, I deleted it from the device, and re-downloaded it, and then I got all the fonts.

I feel like an idiot now. I tried to replicate your screenshot on my fire and couldn't figure out why at the same size, which I estimated there were here and there an extra word per line. Until my brain kicked in. You have a HDX 7 inch and I am looking at a 6 inch fire.

I wish I could figure out why you don't have the 6 fonts. Have you tried what booklover said? Delete the book and put it on again?

I don't have anything to delete. I wonder if it might be because I am not signed up. I cleared data and cache.

The margins are still way to big for me to want to consider using it anyway. By the time they get it to the point where I might use it I'll have 1,000 books on my tbr list instead of only 500.

Have their Collections improved? I found them utterly useless, in the past, and deleted the ones I had. Can you sort by collections on the devices, now?

I tried to use the collection feature for the first time last week, to group a series of audiobooks I'm in the middle of. After about a minute of tinkering, I got confused, deleted it, gave up. Not sure if it was worse previously. :-)

I use collections all the time. They are on the devices, haven't they always been? I just like to sort my stuff. Its a tab in the app in library view.

I have a system by now. I do most of my browsing on my computer as I always have to check first if something is in a series. When I add to library I then click on add to collections and everything goes in my catch all unread called TBR and whatever subgenre it goes. Once I am done reading I put it in the "read" collection.
I guess I use them similar as I do the kindle collections, although they are a bit different.

I had some collections but they didn't do anything on my devices, as I recall. Which made them completely useless, to me. I'll have to give it another try.

Gaaaaaaah!

Last night I was listening to Annihilation (Southern Reach trilogy) and chapter two just refused to play on my phone. It would pause or stop as soon as I started it. I futzed with it for half an hour, then switched to my tablet to continue listening.

The bugs in this app are just nuts. It's not like they need to reinvent the wheel here: they're fetching media files and metadata from a server and displaying/playing them, something mobile devices have been doing successfully for over a decade.

Yeah. I'm all for innovation and new approaches, but sometimes you really should look at other successful apps for design and function tips.
Plus my audio books start to play spontaneously about once a day now.

There is a small update today, from 3.10 to 3.10.1

Could they have fixed something on the audio side? I don't really use audio books so I haven't come across these issues.
