Feedback comments on image size

Ah -- the admin board. Possibly. But that is mostly just Alex and HarryT. (Plus a few others who don't appear to be around as much.) I suspect even the Editors who span the whole forums are just volunteer-mods-on-steroids.

Where would the money come from though? Ads for non-logged-in guests, plus Amazon referrals, probably just barely covers the cost of the servers. This is the kind of thing people do in their spare time -- and some people have more spare time than others.


But not copious spare time, especially the relative few who would be able to update the website backend.

It certainly is not just Alex and me. There's a whole team of moderators, all of whom work very hard. Not everyone posts to the board as often as I do, but that doesn't mean that they don't work equally hard at their moderating duties.

Yes, I am aware. I was referring to the group marked as the Administrators, who would be most likely if anyone was to be getting this mysterious stash of moolah.

Only a handful of people are in that group, most of the people in green are Editors which I assume is in some mysterious manner less connected to the Ultimate Everythingness of MobileRead although granted they too work just as hard and with most(?) of the same duties.

MR is loaded with bosses. Why so many for Calibre?

Many of the calibre mods are inactive, so new ones came along.

Of the 13, 3 work there a lot, a 4th is Kovid (who devotes his time to answering questions and making stickies) and 2 spend more time in other forums I believe. The rest haven't logged on in a while.

Possibly because the number of sub-forums means there are lots of moves and merges to do. That's NOT to suggest there are too many sub-forums.

All mods are volunteers who were invited to be mods. No one gets paid. Whatever revenue comes from the site ads is used to support the site itself. I don't even think Alex makes any money on this.
