I think this depends mainly on how important you consider reading statistics for side loaded kepubs. I could not care less about. Font size settings might also play a role.

I more or less agree. The finer font size steps is the most important addition here IMO.

Nevertheless I also find the chapter graph in stats useful sometimes when you want to "plan" your coming reading (imagine you're in your way to work or you're reading in the bed and it's late) and you want to know how much you can advance without leaving an unfinished chapter for the next session...

So stats for sideloaded kepubs are back (while reading)? How do they work exactly (I assume there is an option in the bottom menu, that brings it up, and when I next bring up the bottom menu The stats will show right away)? Could someone provide a capture or link to what they look like? Thanks.

Since no one else has replied: attached is a screenshot of the in-book stats in a Kobo kepub, I assume it is the same for sideloaded kepubs now.

I think the time remaining and chapter length stats are based on a word count rather than a page count, but I don't know the algorithm used to calculate the remaining time, it doesn't seem to be very accurate to begin with but gets better as you get further into the book.

I hope they release an update for the Aura HD withe in-book stats. I'd really like to have the chapter graph available.

I think I'm seeing a small change in 3.13.1.

Previous version(s):

1. reading
2. tap bottom for menu
3. tap the navigation button
4. navigation window/pane shows
5. tap to dismiss navigation pane
6. tap bottom for menu
7. the navigation pane is shown

Now in version 3.13.1

1. reading
2. tap bottom for menu
3. tap the navigation button
4. navigation window/pane shows
5. tap to dismiss navigation pane
6. tap bottom for menu
7. now the navigation pane IS NOT shown, just the bottom menu

I'm hoping this is a 3.13.1 quirk and the old behavior will be back in version 3.14.x (and that the in book stats pane will behave similarly.)

I would love to have the reading stats for sideloaded kepubs!

Just not sure if I can install this firmware on my Aura. I know it says Glo and AuraH2O only but on the firmware page it now says:

Joques--Good to know! I assume you used the update for the Aura H2O? I don't think there is an update specific for the Aura HD--if there is, could someone point me to it?
