Actually no. Are you a fan of the movie? I'm asking because I'm one of those who didn't find baf especially good.

I'm assuming you don't burn books after reading them.

It's a name from some book.... When I saw it I loved the way it sounds so it stuck with me.
Also I am too lazy to spend hours thinking of a good nickname

There are pluses and minuses to my practice of real-name posting.

Unless your posts are always 100 percent apolitical, pseudonyms are a good idea for the young. It's hard to predict what might some day throw off a potential employer. And, who knows, some day you might want to run for elected office. No need to make oppo researchers's jobs easy!

One reason someone might post with a pen name -- privacy -- is not a big concern of mine. I used to post on a board that required real names (even if not totally enforced), and did the same here.

Hypothetically, real name posting improves civility, but I admit this to be dubious:

One slight reason I real-name post is that if someone was considering use of the software in my tag line, it may make them more confident it isn't malware.

Would you like to write a program/plugin/whatever to look at the contents of a Kindle and remove the extra files left behind when an eBook is deleted?

All the names I wanted or usually use on forums are already used... Melon Soda is one of my favorite drinks and it was also one of the nicknames I used elsewhere. It happened that it wasn't in use in this forum when I signed up so I just went with it!

That's a great idea that does fit into my skill-set. Plus it also fits with the theme of KinCleaner. I will be looking into it.

Something like

Code:
for d in /mnt/us/*.sdr; do
    book = $(basename d .sdr)
    if [[ ! -f /mnt/us/${book}.azw* -o ! -f /mnt/us/${book}.mobi ]]; then
        rm -r $d
    fi
done

There is already a KUAL extension that removes the EndActions, which I extended to rm Personal\ Letter* as well, and this would be fairly easy to do as well... It does of course run on the Kindle itself, but it could just as easily be implemented on the computer, with the heuristic KindleDrive sensing I assume you already do, in any programming language, with the greatest ease.

But this shouldn't be done automatically... the leftovers can be helpful if you re-sideload the book, since sideloaded books do not store annotations on Amazon's servers. That is why sideloaded books specifically leave those remains behind, just in case.

They aren't all that bothersome, considering that the combined filesize is negligible and it doesn't show up in the framework -- unlike the Personal Letters.

Explain your profile name

I wanted to be Tom Sharpe because that's the name I've used all my adult life, but choose to use my initials instead so I wouldn't be confused with Tom Sharpe the author or Tom Sharpe the comedian or Tom Sharpe the screenwriter. Even though my first name is William, I'm the third in my line to have that name and we've all gone by our middle name. Don't ask me why; I've no clue. True story: I once got an email from Eddie Murphy inviting me to a party at his place. I know how that happened. At the time my niece was doing stand-up in California and her contacts included quite a few other comedians, some well-known. All is takes is one email with a CC sent to everyone in her email list and presto! To this day I've wondered what would have been the expression on Eddie Murphy's face had I accepted that invitation!

W.T. Sharpe is my name. Call me Tom.

Almost the same name as Commander Riker. He was a William Thomas as well. Your family isn't the only one to name kids in succession like that. One branch of my family tree had a John Puddicombe every other generation for quite a while. And I know a gentleman at church who is named for his father and he named his son after himself so there are three in a row in that family with the same name. What is even more confusing at times is that the youngest one's wife is named Jessica and his little sister is also named Jessica.

On my father's side the first male child is named Nicholas (not the real name) and then one of 3 middle names in rotation, Peter, Andrew, and Trevor (those aren't the real names either. My generation was the first where the first born son didn't have a son, and my uncle didn't pick up in his place with either of his sons. I named my son after my father but didn't use the traditional middle names. I did stick in my maiden name as one of his 2 middle names.

My college roommate's father was a "Junior;" he was a "III," and now his son is a "IV."

No great social connections -- they were dairy farmers -- but their family did go pretty far back in local history.

I dated a IV for about 9 months. His family was all about name, prominence in the community and so on. They made no secret out of if we're to marry I WOULD have a the Vth. They certainly expected big things out of the 4 that I was dating. Last I heard he was bouncing around Utah and Colorado ski areas instructing by day and working as an executive chef at night. He did spend an Olympic season on the back up team. One of my few claims to fame. I taught him how to ski
