I used to come home from the bookstore/library and stack my books around me and just be *overwhelmed* with joy at all my choices and then completely paralyzed by indecision of where to start. The only solution - grab at random and hope for the best

I hear what OP is saying, I got the same 'problem'. 1000's movies, 100.000 pieces of music, more books than I can possibly finish in my lifetime.
I'm in midst of life.
So I have decided: I only deal with absolute premium (according to me).
Whether it be poetry, some tv-show. Reading news.. Always thinking: Is this good enough for my time?
