Oh--you can try the perkopolis coupon on the HD--it's only good for 10 percent off and I don't know if it would work on that reader. It was reportedly giving 10 percent off the Aura, but people stopped trying/talking about it once the Justforyou coupon appeared. I don't think ANY coupons work on the h2o.

What JSWolf is referring to is a report that Kobo is shrinking its e-ink lineup to three readers: The Aura H2O, the Aura (6") and the Touch.
It's not really a big deal. From anecdotal evidence Kobo still supports (to a certain extent) its Wi-Fi model that was discontinued ages ago. The HD, which was only introduced a year ago, will be supported for ages. I love, love, love my HD. However, were I to have to replace it (ie, due to physical damage not covered by warranty) I would definitely pay $10 extra for the H2O. |

I only use an eReader 3 months of the year when I winter in Mexico. My original non touch Kobo died. I just ordered the Aura which was a easy decision at $99 with the JUSTFORYOU promo vs $179 for a H2O.
The remainder of the year I use the Kindle app on iPad or hard copy library books. I appreciate that the H2O may be slightly better, but not almost double the price better, plus the waterproof thing is of no use to me. |

![]() I think it comes down to the Kobo Aura (I was attracted by the $40 discount. Can order it for $99.99! I just don't have the money to go for the Aura H2o for almost double the price.) or the Kindle Paperwhite. Which would be $155. What would you recommend?? I hope to decide tomorrow! Decision made!
Problem solved. I will get a Kobo Aura. I have spend some time to set up my public library on my Kobo Mini and its all good to go. It makes the decision easier to get a Kobo so I can borrow books again. Also, I have set up my Adobe Digital Editions and will explore more what I can do here.
So not a Kindle to just buy books at Amazon for me. I am going to use this $40 discount! ![]() |

I think you'll be happy with your Aura. The reports I've read around here indicate that the Aura has a fine screen that only suffers when compared to other readers. In other words, there's nothing wrong with it unless you happen to be swapping between it and some of its contemporaries on a regular basis.
It will certainly be a step up from your Mini. |

I've had my Kobo Touch since 2011 and it still works just fine and I'm happy with it. But I have to admit that JUSTFORYOU coupon is tempting me toward an Aura, mostly because I'd get a good amount of use out of the light. One of the things I love most about my Touch is its size so I don't think I'm tempted by either the HD or the H20.
I have two concerns about getting the Aura based on what I've read here: The screen quality (how does it compare to the Touch?) and the non-capacitative screen. That last one is a major deterrent for me living in the frosty Midwest (it was 11 degrees this morning). I know they sell special gloves and I have a pair but they are not warm at all so it's a moot point. I may end up passing on the upgrade and just sticking with my beloved Touch. |

I just got the Aura as an upgrade from my old original non touch kobo.
It's much faster, print quality excellent, I love the adjustable light and so does my wife when I use it in bed. The small very light weight format is excellent for one hand holding and small enough for a jacket pocket. With the JUSTFORYOU pricing I'm very pleased with my purchase. The Kobo Aura H20 is pretty awesome. I mean you can take a bubble bath with it

for your needs, the Aura with $40 coupon is a no-brainer. Just make sure the screen is good. There were reports of pin-holes with the Aura.
