I beg to differ...clipping is a personal foul. 15 yard penalty! Automatic First Down!

I'm wondering if now might not be a good time to transition to Kindle, if only, for the cheaper ebook prices? Certainly the new Kindle Voyager has better specs and is priced very closely to the Samsung/Nook.

Currently, I do have a Nook Tablet (older Nook Color upgrade) and a Samsung Note 10.1 running the Nook app. Quite satisfied with them, but the book costs are pricey IMHO.

I use my Nook HD+ primarily for Kindle content; it works very well. At $179 it was a great purchase, at $299 (down from $349) the 10.1 Samsung Nook is either an embarrassment or an abomination. Less than half the resolution for almost twice the price.

You don't need a new device simply to read Kindle books. Given the devices you already own, you could:
  • On your Note: Install the Kindle For Android app, and download Kindle books directly to your device
  • On your NOOK Tablet: Use a dual-boot microSD card from AndroidForNOOK, boot your NT into Android mode, install the Kindle For Android app, and download Kindle books directly to your device
  • On your computer: Install the appropriate Kindle app and Calibre software, download your Kindle books to your computer, follow Apprentice Alf's directions to install the appropriate DRM-stripping plugins to Calibre, import the Kindle books from your computer into Calibre, and then sideload the disinfected Kindle books onto your devices

Kindle conversion options

Thanks Froide, certainly many options. I'll have to give them some thought.

Dear Author bought a Nook Samsung tablet to review.
It did not go well:

Check the source for the gory details.
But the bottom line?

So, here is my review:

Amazon is winning the sales war because they are better at business.

Period.
