absolutely I would buy another Kobo. I have two K minis, a glo and an Aura HD.
I haven't yet ordered an H2O, not sure if I will. The one Kobo I never travel with or take near water is the Aura HD. So the water proof feature is not a big selling point. When I travel or float around the swimmimg pool, I use the glo or one of the minis. |

I have the Aura HD and my wife has the Glo and we both love 'em, so for as long as they function we won't be buying any e-Readers

I'm on my third Kobo now.
I bought a Touch about two years ago, and I hated it. Hardware was great, but the software.... New problems with every new firmware, simple features like usable tapzones never implemented (at least not for people who keep switching the device form one hand to the other), close to impossible to load larger amounts of books on it and so on. I was sure at that time that the Touch would be my last Kobo. So I bought another reader (Bookeen Cybook Frontlight) and put the Touch away. Early this year I got a chance to trade the Touch in for a Kobo Mini. I always wanted a 5-inch device. This time I installed Koreader and did not use Nickel, and with that the Kobo became really great. A few weeks ago I bought the Aura, and I do not boot into Nickel at all but just use Koreader. Now I have no more use for the Cybook... So my answer is yes, I would buy another Kobo, as long as Koreader will be able to run there. Which is (at least right now) not true for the new H2O... |

My Aura HD is the only e-reader I've ever owned and I'm perfectly happy with it, so yes, I would buy another Kobo e-reader.

Would I buy another Kobo? Sure.
Will my next reader be a Kobo? I'm not sure. I wouldn't pre-order a kobo. I would want to make sure the unit I have works. I wouldn't trust promises of fixes/improvements in future firmware versions. |

This has been a great thread to read through. I'm about to purchase my first Kobo, not entirely sure but think it will be the H20.

Not right now, but then I've had the bad luck to receive 3 faulty H20's. Ask me again in a few months.

Yes. I have bought for myself or as gifts (deep breath in) Kobo original, 4 Kobo touches, Kobo Glo, Kobo H20, 3 Kobo minis, Kobo Vox, and Kobo Arc. Current eReaders: H2O (love it!), Glo (love it too, but H2O has won the battle); have a mini that was my backup in case my Glo died. Will keep it as backup mostly for my husband because he really prefers the mini if he doesn't need the light of his Glo. And I use my Arc primarily as a Kindle or Overdrive reader, if I'm too lazy to get to my computer to copy ADE library files to my eInk reader. (I may have bought other Kobos over the years ... I also had a Wifi that was replaced under warranty for my original Kobo)

It has been a while now since I had a Kobo. I would like to get another one. I like to play around with multiple devices.

Secondly, if after I install FW 3.3.1 and there is something wrong, can I go back to FW 3.8 via a Factory reset etc.? |

My Touch, which I've had for 2.5 years and on which I do a lot of reading, has started to show some signs of overuse lately; there's a line of dead pixels where I habitually touch it to do a page turn, and a filesystem scan has reported an error which isn't proving easy to fix.
So I've just bought a Glo to replace it. I wondered about the others now available, but since I'm actually quite happy with both the clarity of type and the speed of response of the Touch, I don't see much point in going higher up the price range. |
