Am I the only one who wishes Apple would get over "thinner is better" and just double or triple the thickness and put a long lasting battery in the iPhone? Before long the damn thing will be as thin as a sheet of paper and will cause paper cuts! I have to put an Otterbox Defender case on my iPhone 5 just to make it comfortable to hold. The new 6's will be way to thin...

I'm pretty sure you're the only one who wants a phone that's three times thicker (2cm!). Apparently the new models' thinness makes them manageable with one hand.
I might have to play with these in person before deciding if I want one. Who am I kidding? I want one, but I don't know which size. The watch was pretty cool. I'm not sure whether it falls into the category of "neat, but not indispensable" or "this will change my life" as the iPhone did. Some of the configurations are undoubtedly attractive. ![]() What's interesting to me is that the watch depends on the phone: it's an extension of everything the phone already does. Aside from the sensors (which were pretty basic), I'm not sure I see the argument that it's an entirely new category of device, but then again I hardly see the difference between the iPad and the iPhone, so I'm probably the wrong person to ask. The Iphone plus is way too big, it's almost a small tablet.
They should have made a 5" instead of a 4.7" and a 5.5" but this is Apple we're talking about so expect the hordes of fans to storm the Apple stores when this is available. |

As for thinner, I'd prefer slightly thicker with a beefier battery. I didn't mine the thickness of the iPhone 4s. That in addition to the new screen size would allow room for even more battery. |

Did they mention how they would deal with the new resolutions? I still have an app or two that won't utilize the longer screen on the iPhone 5. I can only imagine that some apps will look bad on the two new resolutions unless Apple built in a way of handling them, at least until, and if, the apps are updated. Heck, there are still iPhone apps that were never updated for the iPad resolutions! Another thing to consider is the usual lack of cases. Apple has a few cases available, but none are going to give much protection. It will be months before we see Otterbox offer a Defender case for these 6's.
And bigger battery due to bigger phone might not equal longer battery life. It takes more juice to power those extra pixels. They actually had to increase the thickness on the iPad mini Retina because of the extra pixels. |

I was hoping they would talk more about iOS 8. But, I guess the already covered that.
I want to replace my iPhone 5 with a 6 now. I really miss NFC (an old android phone I had included it which worked grate with google wallet). Possible do it over christmas, upgrade the whole family, they are on the 4S. I also think not allowing the watch to work stand alone and supporting Android is going to limit sales quite a bit. Although, I think there are about 500 million phones sold lifetime. So, if they sell 50 million watches over 3 years they might be happy. |

I moved on from my iPhone 5 for a Galaxy Note 2. Now I have a Sony Xperia Z Ultra (6.4"). I may return to the fold for the 5.5" and the watch. My Android Wear pales in comparison.

Did they mention anything about a curved screen on the iPhone 6? I thought I heard something but it was hard to tell with the Chinese woman yapping in the background and the video constantly screwing up! I looked at the images on Apple's website, but they don't look curved to me, unless they are talking about the outer edges. Just curious...

I have a 5, my contract finishes in a few weeks so I've switched to a sim only for now. I got a cheaper price by taking a 12 month contract with a free upgrade option after 3 months. I guess I want the 4.7 6 but as I have a mini and an air I'm not quite ready to pay the price for it. I want to see what actual users think first.
