Woohoo! I'm only in the second chapter of Spacejock #1, but I eagerly await the release of the ebook versions of the rest of the series.

downloaded book, unzipped and double clicked to add to my mobipocket reader on my computer. started to read (funny, btw) but can't find it listed in my mobipocket reader anywhere - not under the H's, not under the S's, not by title or author, not anywhere. in over 300 ebooks that's never happened to me before.

any suggestions on where to find it or what it's called once you add it to mobipocket reader?

For some reason it's taken 'Chapter One' as the title of the book. First words in the file perhaps??

How did you build it? If you use MobiCreator you shouldn't have this problem. You can have covers, TOC and other important features. Maybe you could drive the command line verison from your authoring tool. We have it mentioned in the wiki by the way.

As long as you have a properly made HTML or PRC (Mobipocket), you can use Calibre to convert it to an LRF for Sony Reader users to purchase. Without the LRF, some Reader users won't be able to read them. Not everyone is good at converting or know how to convert.

The Author isn't showing up in the MOBI format, but <o:Author> may not be standard enough to be recognized.

I tried running the RTF version through Windows MobiPocket Reader and it gets "Chapter 1" as the title too.

Different countries use different punctuation conventions. Single quotes are used in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand where double quotes would be used in the United States. Germany uses <<>> for quotes.

Where is the LRF edition for the Sony Readers?
Why isn't the Mobipocket edition a proper Mobipocket eBook?
Why does the HTML not have a ToC?

I'll sort out the HTML/PRC too. It's saved from OpenOffice, and that's grabbed the first & biggest font it can find in the file, which is 'Chapter One'...

You can use the MOBI2MOBI converter distributed through this site.

I did to rename a book which was called 'Chapter 1' by some weird fellow

I've sent in the LRF to go in the ZIP file. If you'd like help with the LRF for the other books in the series, I'd be glad to help. To view the LRF, just go to Sony's eBookstore and download eBook Library. You will need a Windows based computer.
