What project? Is this a marketing survey, an academic exercise, something else? Who are you?

I found a problem with the survey. Some of the questions assumed I had a stand which I do not. They should have been skipped since I answered I don't have a stand.

I would have to say this is the best stand I've used.

It only weighs an oz., is easy to carry and will never break. The only problem I had was that with a cover on my Kobo it wouldn't hold it. I modified it with a dremel saw and now it works great. Since it's only about $2 the choice to modify it was easy.

I am cheap and also believe in re-using plastic that is otherwise non-recyclable where I live. So when I got my first Kindle for Christmas 2011 and realized I needed some sort of stand so I could read while sitting at my dining room table, I simply tore the remaining pages off my "Wisdom from the Dalai Lama" page-a-day calendar and used the light plastic stand they had been glued to.

It looks like this, in black: http://www.aacintervention.com/home/...ar%20Stand.jpg

So far in 2 1/2 years of use, the hinge has not broken. The stand folds flat when not in use and is tall enough, with enough of a lower lip, to hold both my KK and K4 at a good viewing angle. Weighs maybe an ounce or two. What's not to like?

Thanks for the cool input everyone. All the ideas for stands that you use are incredibly interesting! I've designed many of my own, too.

To JSWolf: I designed the survey with a fork in the question tree splitting from the first question, which is if you own a stand or not. I've tested it out and had others look at it to confirm that it works the way it is supposed to. Perhaps you clicked "yes" when you should have clicked "no"? If you picked correctly, I apologize for the error, but I don't believe the same thing is happening to others' computers. Thank you for attempting to take it though!

meeera: My name is Thor, and it is a marketing survey for an e-reader stand I have invented. I'm trying to gauge the e-reader community's need for it. I'm still in the early stages of development, but once it becomes more solid of a product, I will give plenty of details! It's very exciting to create something new that could benefit others, so I want to post some pictures now, but I just a couple things to settle where they need to before I can do that. Thanks for understanding!

To those who have yet to take the survey, please click the link below and take it; it only takes a minute!
