installed it on my kobo glo (just for fun), seems to work fine, light-button works, resolution is glo-like.

havent tested wifi and sd-card.

Yes, 3.4.1 will work perfectly on the other devices. The code used is identical between the devices and builds are the same. Only the packaging is different. This version is about getting the Mini to the same state as the other devices. Kobo didn't add anything for the other devices*, but they did make sure nothing was broken for them.

* Well, actually they did add two things. "Annotations" is on the menu for books in the book list if they have annotations. And the Annotation list is being reworked. It isn't complete. It now has two views, sorting and filtering. Plus there is a search option that doesn't work. It is a work in progress, and has some bugs. But, in most ways is better than the previous list.

installed 3.4.1 on my mini and saw that the "sleeping book" in sleep mode is still active. Will it appear on my glo again if i use 3.4.1? Or is this only a mini feature?

What do you mean by "sleeping book"?

If you mean the options to have the current book as the screen saver, then the problem is probably the affiliate. Have a look at the file ".kobo\affiliate.conf". It will have a line with something like "affiliate=Kobo". Whatever is on the right is the affiliate. Changing this to "Kobo" should get the sreensaver options back.

I wonder if loco_diabolo means the sleeping face image (the smilie that looks like it has its eyes closed). It is enclosed in a rectangle frame, so I can understand the perception of it as a sleeping book.

I installed firmware 3.4.1 on my Glo, one thing I have noticed is that the browser no longer flashes as I scroll around a page. Scrolling is still a bit jerky, and it does one of those long-duration refreshes once I lift my finger off the screen at the end of scrolling, but it is a big improvement over firmware 3.3.0.

No, the sleeping face doesn't appear on the Glo's sleep screen with 3.4.1.

Stupid question (as I am completely out of the loop for firmware updates/amendments since I stayed on my old 2.-whatever): Does this new Beta version have the Kobo happy face/standby? That was the main reason I never updated mine. That, and I think the newer version than mine had a glitchy Sudoku...lol

Har har... actually, I did review the entire thread. I didn't see a "feature list" anywhere, so it's hard for me to track what everyone is talking about (a lot of folks are comparing it to what's in previous releases but as mine is so far back there are more "new" things for me).

And from the posts above, I can assume that the sleep-face Kobo guy is back, but wanted to confirm with some of the kind folks on here.

I just down loaded and installed 3.4.1 to my Kob Mini. No problems installing. Page turns might be a little faster. New feature easy looking up a word in book at wikipeadia when dictionary isn't helpful a feature I requested is appreciated and works good.

Will try pocket but don't think I will use it much.

As far as I can see the happy face is still in the Mini 3.4.1. It is displayed when the power options are set not to display the book cover on sleep or power off
