LotR can be a tad long winded, but all in all it managed to actually suck me into becoming a fantasy/sci-fi reader

I liked the movies I've seen (maybe from one to five). Now I need to find time to read the books and watch all the movies. Believe it or not, but I have no idea how it ends

I love, love, love the movies. But I'm not even going to bother with the books, since I hate reading fantasy. Not sure why, but never liked it. My friend had to drag me to see LoTR (second one) - I was refusing to watch them since I had always assumed that since I hate reading fantasy, I would dislike watching it too, but it turns out that I can watch fantasy movies, but not read the books. I get bored with them quickly.
