OK - last word from me for this thread:

I'd fogotten having read somewhere that the lack of zoom was an epub only issue & that the reader would zoom images in Kepubs OK.

& I'd switched a while ago to sending all side load books via the plugin that creates kepub versions on the fly.

So I re-sent my Game Of thrones epub to my Aura HD ( via the kepub plug in) & Hey presto I can now zoom the maps.

I find the controls for that a bit clunky, but still - I should modify my initial criticism to say that there is no image zoom for epubs. Which still does mean that anyone borrowing an ADE protected library book to read on a Kobo reader has no zoom function. AFIAK there is no such thing as a kepub lending library system anywhere in the world.

I have not gone so far as to track down a smaller inline image within a chapter & see how much control I have over that, but if I do so I'll report back with a new thread.

Most companies will not cover incidental damage, and I have a feeling that it took more than simply putting your Aura in a pocket for the screen to crack.
