Oh right, same here. I assumed we were talking about reading for fun; for studying I'm (or was, anyway) extremely old school, I need my highlighters, tabs, index cards and all that.

I still do a mixture. Some boils I have aren't available as e - books. Plus, I usually borrow the majority of the novels I read from the library and often a book either isn't available as an e - book or gl there is less of a wait for the print copy of a book.

The only time I would buy a physical book for novels is as a collector's item or something I notice in a second hand bookstore or garage sale etc..
The exceptions to all of this is I still prefer to buy Tabletop roleplaying games rulesbooks in a physical format, although I often buy an electronic format of these books first to see if the physical version is worth buying. |

All prose books on e-reader only - I strongly prefer the experience of reading on a kindle over holding a paper book. If a book I want isn't available as an ebook - even if I really want it - I wait.
I read my first ebook in 1999 or 2000 on a palm pilot, and ordered my first e-reader, a Sony, from J&Rs in New York, a year before you could get them in Canada. I am slowly replacing my favourites with e-versions, so I'm hoping I never have to go back to paper. I still buy related art books, but looking at art is a totally different kind of experience. You can look at a painting for ages without turning a page. It isn't really reading. |

Mostly ebook, but I will read paper books too. I still check plenty of dtbs out of the library, for example, and I still (rarely) buy books in hardcopy if the ebook is too expensive or unavailable when I want it.
I often end up reading dtbs during a plane flight. I start them during that part of the flight you have to have the devices off, and usually that sucks me in for a significant part of the flight ![]() |

At least in the US, they stopped stopping you from visibly showing the on-ness of your ereader.

All ereader. In fact, I have abandoned paper books so completely that I've been selling off my collection. I've gone from five full bookcases down to two in the last few months. There are volumes I'm keeping, but they're all signed by authors, unavailable in ebook form, or of sentimental value.

I kept all the art books and changed all the books I re-read more than once into the nicest sewn, clothbound, gilded if possible, hardbacks I could find. Which turns out to do so has been utter nonsense as I not once read a paperbook since I got a reader. Now I tell myself they'll come handy when there is armageddon and no more electricty to feed a reader. ![]() |

99% on the ereader for at least the past five years, and probably for the last ten years or more.
Paper books don't remember your place, have to be held open, are bigger and heavier than my ebook reader, and aren't always to hand, especially the next book after finishing one. I don't miss reading paper books at all. The few ocassions when I do read one it's irritating. |

I'm mostly ereader. I have TONS (6 shelves worth, plus another 6 boxes) of print books, but I find myself not wanting to read them. I cut buying new print books years ago, but still get some on paperbackswap. I sent out about 5 book per month and can order more, but I'm thinking about just giving away my books and stopping the swap.
I mostly read in bed at night, so using my lit Kobo Auro is too wonderful to want to read in print. What I should do is force myself to do one print book per month until they are all gone. Or make some kind of greater attempt to read print. sigh |

I would say I am 99.99% ebooks, home and away. But I cannot resist the book table at Costco, and every so often, a paper book makes its way home. That I read while sitting on the couch. The best thing about ebooks is I can multitask. I am currently reading Capital by Thomas Piketty (would not want to carry that around), a Fighting Chance by Elizabeth Warren and I Only Have Eyes for You by Bella Andre. I am about to go to the Dr--I sure couldn't carry all those books into the Dr office, but I can carry my PW.
