What color Aura HD did you get?

I got a case from the same seller for my Aura, and it is red. Love it! No complaints. But his cases for the Glo have magnets that are too strong.

I went ahead and got the black one, too.

I may go ahead and also buy a case from the same company for my Kobo Glo, even though the magnets may be (as you mention) too strong.

I love my Aura HD as well. I haven't got a cover for it though. I keep thinking of getting one but I don't know. When I got a Kindle Paperwhite, I also bought the Leather Cover from Amazon and I have used it on the Paperwhite for the first two weeks only and then I took it off because it was more easier and comfortable to hold the PW without it. That's why I'm having second thoughts about getting a case for my Aura HD because I'm afraid that I would end up not using it.

I bought a cover but have now discarded it. Before getting the aura HD I had a sony T3 & never really got on with that cover, either.

cover +
a little extra protection against accidental damage
auto sleep/wake convenience

cover -
adds weight.
having to hold device with its cover bent fully back never feels quite right & symmetric & over time I expect the cover hinge to fail.
the aura HD has a "specially designed" easy to grip back shape , which a cover obscures

I now just have some "egg box" type foam ( left over from a sound proofing/dampening project ) & I place my reader & tablets face down on foam when not in use - so that screen surface is protected, and so that the device is never being dropped onto a hard surface.

having said all that , my cover was only £5 on ebay- at that price you can afford to just try one anyway!

I have this cover in black for my Aura HD. Unfortunately I then found out that the second hand HD was expresso and not black as previously described - still a lovely machine tho' and the cover is good quality. I saw the offical cover in WH Smiths and couldn't believe how little you got for £40. The cover ex Amazon is significantly better.

Order it online. Bookstores in my country only sell Kindle ereaders. I ordered mine online.

I can't, I live in a country where the government blocks all international shipping and they make you pay a fee to claim it. Sometimes, the fee is close to the price of the item you bought...

So here's, like, the set up here...

All legit international orders from international companies, like Amazon, play-asia, and the likes, are being redirected to a specific branch of the government, they call it "customs". I think all international packages go through them.

They sort of police anything that goes into the country and they also handle illegal trades (meaning they have the right to hold off any illegal stuff that comes into the country).

So, anyway, they also have a rule that you have to pay a "tax" for anything legally bought internationally (doesn't matter if it's via online or not). And it also doesn't matter that you've already paid tax when you placed the order.

Just recently, my friend bought some decal for her phone, and the customs made her pay a fee to claim the stickers.

Also, if you're coming back from travel abroad, when you come into the country with, let's say, a brand new laptop still inside the box, they won't let it out of the airport unless you pay a "tax".

And that really sucks. So the only work around is, if you don't want to pay the tax, is have someone buy it personally for you, then have it sent.

Oh ok. I thought your country doesn't allow you to order stuff online. Here it's the same thing but we don't pay tax for it since tax doesn't exist in my country.

That's the same thing in France for goods bought outside the European Union. Sometimes the parcel will arrive without any custom tax. The customs make you pay the local VAT (in addition to the one already in the seller country). What I don't understand is having to pay VAT for the shipping since it's seen as a service. So one day having bought five CDs in Asia, I ended up paying pretty much the same amount for the taxes than for the products.
