I don't believe any of these are Android or even open. I would prefer to be able to install my choice of browser.

I would be interested to know if they've managed to get the light right. 8" is still innovative.

That would only make it inferior if you had a need for a light that could be turned down very low. I certainly found it absolutely fine for reading in bed with.

I personally could not use a front-light in the dark, so the point is moot for me. But I would prefer to have the option to turn the light down very low.
