Ploum,

Have you considered that in both cases your router may have been recently reset? Does resetting it the same way, by removing power, yield a similar result for a time?

Just a thought.

Technisol > Yes. When my Kobo didn't want to connect, I evel tried a factory reset of the router. Without success.

I purchased the Kobo one week ago in France (Fnac) an i must admit i am a little disappointed by this Wifi issue. I have so much devices (ios, android, Windows...) that are working perfectly in Wireless, i couldn't think nowadays a device could encounter so much problems connecting on a Wireless network.. Anyway here's my contribution
  1. Aura HD
  2. 3.2.0
  3. BBox Router (French provider)
  4. WPA2 (TKIP-AES)
  5. No
  6. 1440 minutes
  7. Brand new device without any change at all.

I am sorry I don't have enough experience to answer all the questions but have new Kobo Touch, i bought several months ago but only started setting it up yesterday. It is connecting to wifi fine but seems to knock out my mobile phone ringing or my landline? is this the same problem?

How far away with wifi on do I need to keep it from phone and mobile to stop it doing this?

Any help very gratefully received, apologies for my limited knowledge. Thank you

I can't connect my mother's Kobo Aura on her routeur at all. I have to same routeur, and I can connect to it. Although It has the same kind of WPA key.
  • What Kobo device(s) are you using ? : Kobo Aura
  • What Firmware(s)? : 3.5.0
  • What router(s)--brand, model number, firmware level? : Freebox Revolution (French provider : 'Free'), Firmware 3.0.1
  • How is the router configured e.g WPA2 etc? WPA/PSK
  • Did establishing a DHCP (static reserved) address help? : Nope
  • Please provide the DHCP lease time (in minutes or seconds) : ?
  • Please mention any modifications you might have made to your device, for example, patches, alternate reader software, changes to the device.config file. : none
