you will have to do tests as said previously
test that any highlights created on your PC are stored in that database.

to do that - with your PC reader software open a book then
1.create a highlight
2 close reader software
3, rename .db file
4, re-open software & re-open the same book &check if highlight has now vanished
5. if so, close the software, rename the .db file correctly , reopen software, check if highlight is now back again
6. if it has NOT vanished then it's being stored somewhere else & we'll have to think again.

Unless anyone else volunteers to do tests, you will have to do them yourself!

you could also see if your MAC has the same database file & try backing it up then replacing it with the PC file ( but I don't know where your MAC would store that file, you will have to search for it )
Hey brother, thanks for your reply.

I just made some highlights on the PRS-T2. I'm going to sync the PRS-T2 with my PC and then delete the e-book on the PRS-T2. Then I'll try to sync the PRS-T2 to my PC and see if the PC is able to send the missing e-book along with the highlights I made.

I still don't understand what you wanted me to do with the ReaderDesktopLibrary.db? What does this file do?

if I am right, that is where all your notes & highlighs are stored on your PC.
so if you make notes on a book on the reader, then sync to PC, you should get copies of your notes added to that file.

From there, you should be able to sync to a different reader or a factory reset of a reader & get the notes back.
IF I'm right that is. So test carefully.

look also for a similar file on your MAC if you want to sync notes with that.

just take everything one step at a time & write down exactly what you did + what happened & hopefully it was all make sense , eventually

PS if you google ReaderDesktopLibrary.db there are several links that may be worth reading

Alright, I think I got it working

To make sure it was working I did this:

I reset the PRS-T2.
Plugged in the PRS-T2 to the Mac.
Then I synced the e-books.
I then checked if the e-books on the PRS-T2 had the highlights I had made earlier before the reset.
I checked two e-books and both of them had the highlights.

The only issue is that I don't know in which folder the highlighted e-books are located.

I'm just going to keep using the Mac Sony Reader Client and not use the Windows Sony Reader Client because it'll just get too confusing.

Does anyone see a possible problem with what I've done?

I'd still like to know in which folder the highlighted e-books are stored!

Thanks!

PS no more dumb questions or I'm out of here.

so DONT ask what does it do, or will it do X... it's a program, it has some tasty screenshots, google found it mentioned in another thread,. I found it by doing what I told you to do at the end of post #32.
that's all I know.
