This is why I use SquareTrade when I brought mine but it was new. My 4.2 isn't cover though but it works great and for the amount I paid as long as I get several months of use from it I am okay.

99 dollars is ridiculous! Woot has a 90 day warranty right?

So I wanted to update on this. My Galaxy Player is still just sitting at the service center waiting to be repaired. Right now the guys at Samsung are trying to get them to associate the correct serial number.

I've gone through like five people now. I didn't get any real responses from anyone until YESTERDAY, and I talked to another person today. At least we're getting somewhere.

Not going to see it back until next month most likely.

Did you paid 99 or are you fighting that price? I am curious why they are having trouble with the serial number.

I haven't gave them my info yet. I don't know why they gave me another serial, but it was wrong. Maybe because it was refurbished, but still, it was weird of how they did it. They didn't even bother to update the original ticket.

But yeah, at this point, I'm not seeing it until next week.

UPDATE

I got an e-mail with what they repaired. I KNOW that the device worked when I sent it in. And they have put that the unit would not power on.

Hence they switched out the board, and not my screen. I sent screenshots, HOW could they not see that?!

EDIT: Now that I think about it, they might have had to reseat the screen. So we'll see.

Just got it back, nope, they did NOT fix the screen. Sending it back to Woot for a refund. Can't wait to get my iPod Touch now.

Samsung is never getting any of my business again, period.
