There is a page flip mode? I use multiple bookmarks in cookbooks and my child development books

Yes. Much better. my kpw1 was one of the blotchy ones and I had gone through 3 to get to it. I thought I would be able to ignore the colors, but I was never happy with it. Nor with the headlight effect. I am very happy with the Kpw2.

Touch the upper right corner. It brings up a list of bookmarks & a page image viewer overlaid on what was the book text. When you click on each bookmark you see that page in the view window. Touch the image to go to that bookmark.

Cool, I will keep that in mind. Most of the books I use a ton of bookmarks in are cookbooks and read on my iPad. And even then, I remove the DRM, find the recipie in Marvin, copy it, and put it into my recipie app so I can make grocery lists and email the recipe if needed.
But it is nice to know that the feature is there. |

You can also access page flip mode by swiping up from the bottom middle of the screen. This starts the page flip mode on the page your currently on and you can move backward and forward through the pages on the inlaid screen.

Yes, I agree! It's a neat shortcut that I am really happy they added! But that page flip is for quick navigation like advancing chapters and going back in history. It's a little different than the bookmark view.

I was on the fence about upgrading from PW1 to PW2 but I love it and think it was worth the effort. The contrast, smoothness of the screen, and the faster page turns are all noticeable improvements. I am a fan!

I've got both and I prefer the PW2. The contrast is better and I love the vocabulary builder! My mom is on the fence about an ereader, I'm loaning her the PW1 to see if she likes reading on one.

Well, OP, I can say that I am enthusiastic about the Paperwhite (2013). I really like it, and I think that it represents a decent, although not earth shattering, upgrade to the 2012 model. I like it much better than the Nook Simple Touch, although I do like the NST as well (having owned one). Been a few years since I used a Sony or Kobo, so I can't really compare it to them. The PRS-350 and the Kobo Wifi were the last models I ever owned from those two.

I have now had 4 PWs. I have had various problems with them which CS couldn't sort out. However, the Amazon kindle own forum have some very helpful people on there, too. All 4 kindles had different colored screens and the font was sharper on some than others. The light varied on the same settings. It was very interesting. I'm now happy with the one I've got. I like it.
