I have the Aura HD and am loving it but am seriously considering the Aura. I don't really think the Carta screen will be much of an improvement. The light on the Aura HD already makes the screen look white and I don't find text looking washed out with the use of the light.

I have a Kindle Keyboard that is over 2 years old now. I would like to replace it with a 2nd generation Paperwhite.

I want the new Kindle Paperwhite. Disappointed that Sony didn't come out with a front lit reader. That was going to make up my mind on which reader I'd get.

Which is why I want the Kobo Aura....smaller and lighter. (Even though the screen is the same size). The new Paperwhite tempts me, due to the new screen tech and the reportedly better light....my PW has a big blotch of light on one side which is annoying. But if I get the new PW I'll sell the old.....I really don't need them both. I am waiting for reader reviews, before I decide. If it was smaller and lighter, I would have pre-ordered it! |

The size and design of the Aura tempt me greatly, and the font/display management would seal the deal, if I didn't already have a Glo and no great reason to abandon it.

I voted None. I am happy with my Cybook Odessey, and I don't plan to buy a new one this year. If something happened to my e-reader, I would probably get a new Odessey. ( Although the new Aura is tempting..)

I know....I would probably have to sell the Glo if I was satisfied with the Aura. But I wouldn't make that decision til I had both in hand for awhile...

The device can dissuade me but my primary criteria is a pathway to the books I like to read.

If the Sony T3 had a front-lit screen, I'd have one the day they came out. But without that, I'll stick with the Kobo Glo for when I need the light and my good lovable reliable rock-solid 350s which still give me the most reading enjoyment.
Maybe next year for a new Sony... but there's nothing that's even tempting to me in this year's batch of readers that would be an improvement over the Kobo Glo. |

I will replace my Kindle Keyboard with a Kindle Paperwhite, but I'll probably wait until the KK dies.

None for me, I just took a giant step backwards and bought a new in the box Nook 1st Generation. I love it.... It reads epubs. with page numbers and has really nice little built in audiobook player with external speakers that work well in a quiet room. I like the simplicity of it. It doesn't beep at me, tell me it's time to play a word, view a text or read an email. It reads, really nicely with no problems. I don't keep more 20 or so ebooks on a reader and put the audiobooks on it's sd card. Used in conjunction with my koboglow or ipad for night reading, it's perfect. I really prefer page turn buttons and a single function, though in this case, I guess it's dual reader to a tablet and I do love the e-ink.
