So no paper books available either? It has truly vanished from the face of the earth?

There were no ebooks available before copyright or in the Mid-Century AFAIK.
Does this mean all of those books have vanished. Being a bit crotchety I know, but saying that no ebook exists does not mean the book itself has vanished.

I am subscribed to the other thread and now this is all getting a bit meta for me. A discussion of the evils of copyright in two different threads! Yikes!

Of course the most ridiculous thing about this article is linking it to technology. If you are "addicted" to reading, then it's the words, not whether it's a book or ebook, that are feeding the addiction.

Well I am in my zombie reading phase at the moment. It is driving me mad not being able to read at bedtime. It is like withdrawal, but I am a 1 book at a time person and find zombie books, even if they do not scare me reading them, have this terrible affect on my sleep. So I have to make sure i spend at least 30 minutes watching tv before bed, instead of snuggling up in bed with my book and falling asleep when I can not keep my eyes open.
As a child my father use to tell me to get my nose out of a book and into the sun. I use to be able to read through anything, dinner, tv, knitting, a conversation, you name it i read while doing it. These days with MS my brain doest handle it as well. I can read in a room with the tv on, most days, and still follow both, but that is about it.
